Alan at the AlanWeinkrantzPRBlog did a short video interview of me a few weeks ago. I got to talk about my company, Doingmedia LLC, and my approach to business, as well as about some of the coworking efforts I’ve been working on.
And there was a companion mention in Alan’s monthly column for the Express-News in San Antonio. Alan spoke to a group of folks in the city who are doing or working in “non-traditional media.” (And now that I wrote that, what the heck is it?) Here’s an exceprt.
“San Antonio has a growing community of experts and forward-thinking individuals who can help you reach new customers, elevate your company’s or organization’s profile, dramatically help you lower your cost of marketing and engage directly with your customers. They can help you be part of the conversation, build new markets, create community, participate, aggregate and measure the effectiveness of what you are doing.
You won’t find this group working at traditional advertising or marketing agencies or PR firms in town. You’ll find them co-working in cyber cafes and alternative workplaces, working from home, or meeting and collaborating at knowledge-sharing events in San Antonio such as PodCamp, BarCamp, the Social Media Club of San Antonio or, coming next spring, GreenCamp.”
Cool!
Thanks Alan!

Congratulations, Todd! Some well-deserved kudos for all the work you do bringing San Antonio’s technorati and innovators together.
I would quibble with Alan that you’re both traditional and nontraditional media, but personally I don’t mind the nontraditional label.
Way to go getting a second weekly coworking session going in San Antonio.
