Jan Ozer, long time streaming and compression expert, has a great two part article in DigitalContentProducer called Shooting for Streaming.
I’ve known Jan for a lot of years and he really knows his stuff. He wrote the original Video Compression Bible. He had the top rated session at last year’s MCA-I ProTrack and will be back there again doing a one day session.
The Internet is THE distribution media. I’ll be buying a Blu-Ray burner soon to produce Blu-Ray HD discs, but most of my video goes straight to the ‘net. It doesn’t matter what flavor of ‘net — Inter or intra — it’s how people expect their video. NBC demonstrated it with their Bejing Olympic coverage.
